The short version: I only collect what you send me, I use it to reply to you, and nothing on this site tracks you.
Who I am
Site Pilot is a one-person web design studio run by Paras in Christchurch, New Zealand. If you have a question about anything on this page, email hello@sitepilot.co.nz or call 022 095 5445.
What I collect
- If you use the enquiry form: what you’d like built, your message, your name and your email address.
- If you ask for a free sample video ad: your name, business name and email address, your phone number and website or Facebook page if you give them, what you tell me about your business, and the job photos you send me.
- If you email or phone: whatever you choose to send or tell me.
That’s all. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The page speed numbers on the homepage are measured by your own browser and stay on your screen.
Why
To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to quote, build and look after your site. If you ask for a sample or order video ads, I use your photos and details to make them. I won’t add you to a mailing list, and I won’t pass your details to anyone else to market to you.
Where it’s kept
Enquiry form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this site. Netlify is based in the United States, so your enquiry is stored there. Like any web host, Netlify also keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service. Emails you send me sit in my business email account. To make video ads, I upload the photos and details needed for them to AI image and video services, which may process and store them outside New Zealand.
How long I keep it
Only as long as I need it: to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, for the project and for the business records New Zealand law requires me to keep, such as invoices for tax. If we don’t end up working together, ask and I’ll delete your enquiry.
Seeing or correcting your information
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it. Email hello@sitepilot.co.nz. The law gives me up to 20 working days to respond; it’s usually much quicker than that.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
